Is the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet a Weight Loss Option for You
Apple Cider Vinegar Diet
There are many diets on the market, diets work well for some and not well for others. I am constantly researching diets and weight loss ideas; while on the internet I came across the Apple Cider Vinegar Diet.
This apple vinegar diet caught my eye because there was such a range of pros and cons for this particular diet, while I do not have personal experience with the apple cider vinegar diet I found the information on this diet interesting.
I do not endorse nor reject the apple cider vinegar diet; I simply found it quite intriguing. The process of making apple cider vinegar involves extracting the juice from apples by crushing the fruit; sugar and yeast are then added to the juice which causes fermentation.
Through my readings of the apple cider vinegar diet, I found articles that consistently mention a doctor named Dr. D.C. Jarvis who practiced in Vermont and wrote a book in the 1950's titled, Folk Medicine. Dr. Jarvis' book set the stage for the apple cider vinegar diet as an option for weight loss; Dr. Jarvis' hypothesis indicated regular intake of the apple cider vinegar would cause fat to be burned quicker as opposed to being stored.
However, Dr. Jarvis was not the first to recommend the apple cider vinegar as a health aid. The magic of apple cider vinegar goes back hundreds of years ago, there were and still are current claims that the apple cider vinegar can cure ailments such as migraines, high blood pressure, diabetes plus much more.
If you would like to pursue or try this diet, there are many variations of apple cider vinegar recipes on the internet, however if you are looking for the simplified version of the apple cider vinegar recipe it simply involves filling a 8 oz. glass of warm water, mixing in 2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar and 2 teaspoons of honey. The drink is recommended to be consumed before every meal.
Whether you choose to pursue the apple cider vinegar diet or any other type of diet, I wish you the best of luck in weight loss and most importantly good health for the rest of your life!
